Only magnified by about a thousand.

“He’s here.” I say it out loud without even thinking and burst into a sprint. My eyes soaking in every sight I can. The mail man entering the building next to mine. Mrs. Hampton from next door walking her frou-frou dog down the block for his morning poop.

Cars whizzing by like this huge event isn’t about to happen. They go on with their lives like mine isn’t about to take this magnificent turn–hopefully for the better.

Out of breath, I stop in front of my building and look around. He has to be here. I felt it. I felt him. Spinning in a circle my eyes catch sight of a matte black motorcycle across the street, and I know, I absolutely know that it’s his.

I stand in the middle of the sidewalk watching as he exits the coffee shop he’s parked in front of. He must feel me too, because his head whips up and he stares at me, a smirk lining his perfect crooked jaw. Pulling at the scars on his cheek. His eyes are like lasers as they slowly travel the length of my sweaty body.

Without thought, I step off the curb and walk into the middle of the road–in hindsight I’m lucky not to be dead–when his eyes widen with panic, my steps falter and its then I hear the horn blaring seconds before I’m tackled to the ground.

I brace for pain but feel hard cushion. Opening my eyes, I look into his deep pools of green. Worry and anger reflect back at me. “If you’re this careless again, I’m likely to tie to my bed.” His deep growl vibrates through me and it only takes a second to realize who he is.

“It’s you.” My words are so quiet I don’t think he can possibly hear me, but the smirk is back, and I know he has. “How, what, so many questions.” True would kick my ass for my warp-speed talking. It’s normally her thing, not mine.

“How about we get off the ground and talk inside?” He helps me to my feet and it’s then I realize we have a huge audience.

“Good idea.” I grip his hand and drag him behind me with an apology to the driver I almost made cream me.

The elevator ride to my third-floor apartment seems to take forever as we stand silent and waiting. His thumb rubs the inside of my wrist and it helps calm my erratic heartbeat.

“What’s your name?” Now that some sanity is floating back to my conscience I remember I have no idea.

“Camden Perry.” The doors ding on our floor and open as he answers me.

  Camden.

  I’m half in love already.

I’ve read and reread his letters every day since I sent him mine. I feel like even though we met for a brief time once and traded a handful of letters–mostly his–like I know him already.

“I’ve thought about you a lot since that day.” I mutter as he follows me. “I was too panic induced to realize it then, but you made my heart flutter.” The rational part of my brain is saying shut up, don’t give him too much information. My heart is screaming to tell him everything, so we can hold on and never let go.

Before the door is open, I hear it. Or rather them. The sex crazed gorilla’s.

“You have humping monkey’s or something in there?” He pushes the door open, one hand on his hip, revealing the butt of a gun and my heart freezes.

Fingers crossed, I blurt out, “Tell me you’re a cop and not some gorilla sex slave killer?” He looks back at me, a confused expression on his face. “Please?”

My eyes keep darting back and forth between his face and the gun and he notices. “I’m retired DEA. It’s why I couldn’t simply come to you, I had to keep my distance.”

  How. Sweet.

“Retired?” This isn’t a conversation that should be had in hallway outside of an apartment where two crazy people are banging, but I’m nothing if not different.

“What are the chances you’d like to come home with me?” He asks, ignoring my inquisition.

The banshee like scream answers for me. “Let me grab my purse and a sweater.”

Tackling Lena to the ground on our first meeting wasn’t how we were supposed to officially meet, but I’d be lying if I said her curvy body lying on mine wasn’t pure fucking gold. Her big tits pushed against my chest as her breaths grew heavy was heady shit. I had to recite the Presidents to calm my damn cock down.

Putting her on the back of my bike where her arms were wrapped around my waist in a tight hold and her pussy was nestled against my back didn’t help the libido any. But I wouldn’t have it any other way.

I knew her room mates were assholes, but I didn’t realize they gave her very little consideration. I can tell by the way she was squeezing my shirt in her palms that she’s nervous, about the bike or coming home with me remains to be seen.

The ride to Malibu was long, quiet, exhilarating. If not for muscle memory I’d have likely crashed a time or two when she squeezed her thighs around me every time we came upon a curve in the road.

The smell of the ocean air, coupled with the desire I can feel flowing through the both of us, the slow trek up my drive-way has us both antsy.

“Wow,” her breath brushes past my ear and I have to tighten my hold on the handles of my bike or risk tossing her over my shoulder like a caveman. I want this woman something fierce.

Shutting the bike off, the quiet is shocking after having a rumble beneath us for so long. Swinging a leg off, I help Lena dismount on wobbly legs as she holds onto me for stability.

“This is gorgeous.” She marvels at the scene before us. My house faces a private beach and the sand comes right up to my back deck where it’s nothing but glass windows on a two-story home.

“Want a tour inside?” I step back from her, needing a breather from her sweet scent.

“I’d love one.” She aims one of her beautiful smiles my way and if any doubt lingered about whether she was meant for me or not, it’s gone.

Reaching a hand for her, I guide her through the back-patio doors and into an open concept kitchen, dining room, bar, and living area. When I bought the house, this is what sold it for me. Having everything open so there was no chance of feeling stifled in my own home.

“I love this floor plan.” I watch her walk around the rooms, completely absorbed in what she’s seeing. I know it all, so my eyes remain glued to her.

When she stops at the stair case, I can see some of her nerves starting to take affect and I immediately go to her. “Whatever you think is going to happen, Lena, you’re wrong. This goes at your pace, not mine.”

Her eyes have closed before I finished speaking. “Say it again.”

  “Say what?”

“My name.” Her gaze flicks up to mine shyly.

Wrapping one hand around the small of her back, I bring her closer to me while the other hand glides through her hair. “Lena.” I bend down, slowly making my intent known. A hairsbreadth away from her lips, giving her the chance to come to me. I don’t have to wait long as Lena closes the distance.

From the first touch, electricity bolts through us both. She jumps in my arms as I deepen the kiss. A breathy moan leaves her as our tongues touch and I pull her closer in my embrace. My dick hardening again and rubbing eagerly against her belly.

“Camden.” She hisses when I pull away, sucking her lip as I do.

“Fuck does that sound good coming from your sweet little lips.”

Gripping the front of my shirt, Lena stands on her tip toes, resting her forehead against my chin and breathing deeply. “I shouldn’t want you so much. I should be asking questions and deciding if we’re going somewhere with this, whatever this is, but all I can think about is getting horizontal with you Camden. Tell me I’m not alone in this.”

“Fuck no, baby. You’re damn well not alone, but I didn’t want to push you for what you aren’t ready for.”

“Push me Camden. Push me hard because lord knows if you don’t I just might run away, and I have a feeling that would be the worst mistake of my life.”

She’s not under any type of influence so I don’t need to be told twice. Bending down, I pick her up over my shoulder and haul ass up to my–our–ro
om.

  Lena

I feel like I’m in some sort of trance, except I’m not. I’m completely lucid and filled with anticipation for whatever Camden has in store for me.

I know me better than anyone, and I know I’ll chicken out and run before we can find out what we’re doing. Asking him to take that control away from me is for the best.

I want this with him. I want him period.

If not for my lust, I never would have said so, never would have been confident enough to express my desire for him.

Camden doesn’t waste any time as he lightly drops me on the bed and begins removing his shirt and shoes, and then tackling mine.

Before long we’re both lying side by side naked as the day we were born. I trace the fine muscles across his chest and through the light rustle of hair tickling my fingers. He cups and massages my breasts before pushing me on my back and takes complete control again.

I don’t get a chance to do or say anything as his warm mouth captures a taught nipple between his lips. Sucking gently, I squirm under his weight. Needing relief only he can give me.

“Camden.” I breathe into the quiet room. His free hand slides down my body, heading straight for the apex of my thighs and for a brief moment I debate locking my knees together. Before I can make a decision, he’s there. Touching, feeling, petting me into submission.

“Just close your eyes and feel me Lena. Feel with your heart.” Oh his words make my heart sigh with delight.

Camden Perry is so much more than I ever thought I’d have in this life time. He’s so much more than I felt I was worthy of. He pushes the anxiety away and makes me feel life.

“You still with me baby doll?”

“Yes, Camden.” I swear I can feel his grin around my nipple as he pushes my legs apart. “I’m not, I mean, I’ve…crap. Well you don’t have to be gentle. I mean it’s been a while, but Bob keeps me ready.” Shut up Lena!

“Bob? Who in the fucking hell is Bob?” Oops.

“Battery operated boyfriend. B.O.B. Bob.” I shrug while I feel the burn of a blush creeping up my neck.

His harsh look doesn’t dissipate as he lowers his head. Dropping it between my breasts, a lot of cursing moves past his hungry lips and I wait.

“You mean to tell me I’m fucking jealous of a vibrator?” He doesn’t move.

“Well, I mean, it’s not just any vibrator. It’s thick and veiny and hot pink. There’s this little rabbit that tickles a certain area and let me tell you it feels wonderful.” Stop talking, right now, just stop already.

“Not helping the case here doll.”

“Well would you like to tickle all the areas it does? Then you’ll feel better? Well hopefully we both will, but maybe you won’t be so angry?” Dear lord in heaven someone zip my mouth shut now please.

Camden doesn’t move, barely breathes. I rub my hands up and down his muscular arms and wait for his next move. I’ve probably scared the poor man off with my rambling.

When he moves again, he lowers his chest to mine, guides his head up to my shoulder, kisses along my collar bone and whispers in my ear. “Never fucking change Lena. Not ever.”

Confused, I tell him. “I don’t think I could.” I hate how unsophisticated I am right now. I sound more like an inexperienced teenage girl than a grown ass woman.

“Good. Because I love you just the way you are.” My breath catches and my entire body freezes at his words.

  Love?

  “You love me?”

“Fuck yes, why do you think I wrote to you? I didn’t want some other fool snatching you up before I got the chance to.” I don’t think he could be sweeter if he tried.

“I don’t know if I love you yet, but I know I’m going to Camden.” I can’t lie. By the beaming smile he gives me, I can tell that’s just as good to him.

“I’ll take whatever you want to give me Lena. I’m here for good.”

And he proves it. Over and over again. All through the day and long into the night. He shows me with our bodies just how much he loves me.

  Loves us.

Sometimes love is an idea we want.

Sometimes love smacks us in the face.

Sometimes love finds a mysterious way to bring two souls together and I think I have the best part of another soul a woman could ask for in Camden Perry.

  2 years later.

The past two years hasn’t always been easy. Lena’s anxiety over the changes we’ve made have made some nights difficult for her and she’s woken from nightmares. My obsession to keep her close has only grown because of it.

For now, Lena doesn’t seem to mind too much. But as she grows and realizes the world isn’t out for blood, I can tell that’s going to change.

Especially since we have twins on the way in four months. Lena has gone crazy shopping and planning with her best friend. Maverick and I have gotten to know each other better because of the girls shopping.

Since retiring from the DEA I’ve started a private security company that mostly deals with installing video surveillance and nanny cams for the rich and famous. It’s not glamorous but it’s low risk work that keeps me home as much I want, and Lena will never have the fear of losing me because of what I do.

More often than not she’s on the beach painting landscapes in different shades and textures. One of her new things is doing portraits with grains of sand after she dies them.

We have a simple life, but it’s one we love, enjoy, and savor. Our Malibu home has become our oasis from life.

“Camden?” Think and I shall receive. I spin around in my office chair and there in the door way in nothing but a skimpy yellow bikini is my beautiful wife. Did I forget to mention we married six weeks after I brought her home that first day? I wasn’t taking any chances on losing her.

“Sweetest piece of sunshine on the coast.” I grin at her. She’s self-conscious because of the babies, I don’t think she’s ever been more gorgeous.

A blush works up her cheeks as she steps closer to me. “I was hoping you’d come for a swim?” My girl loves the ocean. Swimming in it, sitting near it, listening to it. But she knows she can’t go in without me by her side. No exceptions.

“Anything for you Mrs. Perry.” Fuck do I love the sound of that name.

  Dear Camden,

I used to laugh about crazed gorilla sex, judge even. Until you.

Until you came crashing into my life I didn’t get it. I didn’t understand how two people could bang all day and night and not get tired of it. I didn’t understand the connection they shared, the love and bond being intimate could give a person.

  Until you.

Camden Perry you wrote me a letter once confessing not only your deepest desires but your need for that same connection I never knew I was missing.

  We have it Camden.

You and I, we’re it. For life we’ll have this crazy gorilla sex type of life and I couldn’t be more grateful for it.

  I love you Camden.

I love our sweet little boys, Dillon and Devon, more than I thought possible.

  I love us.

  Always and forever yours,

  Lena

  * * *

Dear Lena, I held you in my arms before you knew my name. I held you in my heart before you saw my face. I held you in my soul before our love was committed.

You’ve given me everything and asked for nothing. I hope I live up to the man I know you deserve. Dillon and Devon were a blessing and a miracle I wasn’t sure I was going to get in my life time.

But baby you delivered, and you delivered perfection. These boys are going to grow into fine men because of your love and devotion towards them. They’ll know what it is to be loved by an amazing woman and hold their standards higher when choosing their own.

Thank you, Lena, for accepting our less than traditional romance and loving me in return. Had you have not shared my feelings, well, I think I’d have stolen you away anyways.

  I love you Lena Perry.r />
